Some people simply do not want their rental to look or feel like another automatic scooter. For them, the XSR 155 brings a proper clutch, six gears and a compact retro road-bike style without jumping to a 250 cc machine.

The XSR is enjoyable when the bike itself is part of the day: solo rides, café stops and paved routes where a light manual motorcycle feels more engaging. Its 155 cc size is relatively approachable, but you should already know how to use a clutch. Learning manual controls in unfamiliar traffic is not a good reason to choose it.

Pack light—or add a top box

There is no storage beneath the seat and no side-box setup. A top box is available, which makes day-to-day use easier, though it changes the clean road-bike character. If luggage is central to the trip, the CB150X is a more practical comparison.

The MT-25 adds a 250 cc naked-bike format for more experienced riders. The R25 moves in the other direction with sport-bike bodywork and a more committed purpose. The XSR sits between them as the lighter, style-led road bike.
