The MT-25 marks the point where our manual range becomes noticeably more serious. It is a 250 cc naked bike with a six-speed gearbox, intended for riders who already have confidence on motorcycles and want something more substantial than the 150–155 cc choices.

Pay attention to the version selector: V2 and V3 ABS do not have the same braking specification or rental price.

Without bodywork or built-in storage, the MT is very much a motorcycle first and a luggage carrier second. The naked layout keeps it road-focused, and a top box can be fitted when practical storage is needed. Side boxes are not available on this setup.

V2 versus V3 ABS

Our V2 is listed without ABS. V3 ABS, as its name suggests, is the version recorded with anti-lock braking and it carries a different rate. Switching versions above updates the specification, prices and availability together; choosing another color does not.

If a 250 cc manual bike is more than you need, the XSR 155 is lighter and calmer. The R25 uses a sport-bike format at the same listed engine capacity. For touring luggage, the V-Strom 250SX is the sensible comparison rather than trying to turn the MT into a touring bike.

Tell us which version you want when enquiring. “MT-25” on its own is not enough for the manager to confirm the correct equipment and price.
